Is pretty unique as it was not something I planned or knew I wanted to do. In my life I have always been imaginative and visual, day dreaming in school while looking out the window and making up stories in my head.

once I left school, amazingly I still had no idea of what I wanted to do and going to university was out of the question because honestly, who really wants to have more exams added to their life. Being the practical person that I am, I discovered film school where you are tested not on paper but what you produce on screen.

Animation was my major and in my first year with an extraordinary crew, we achieved second place out of all the first year’s films for the best 1 minute story. Surprisingly, I actually never enjoyed it there nor doing animation, but the experience of learning what goes into film making and storytelling is priceless to me.

So a glamorous career in the film industry was not for me, but the pressure was on to find a job and around the same time my sister was getting married and no, I was not her photographer! however i witnessed her photographer and thought, “Hey, I’ll give that a shot”.

In 2007 I took all the money I had saved up to buy my first Nikon camera and finally booked my very first wedding. I must have taken a million photographs that day, but from that moment I was instantly hooked!

now 12 years later I have had the honor of capturing countless couples say I do and travel all over South Africa to do so.

In 2018 my family and I decided that we want to call Melbourne our home, so we sold everything, moved with my wife’s five bags of clothing, our baby daughter, our two yorkies and my camera to start a new chapter in our lives.

so here I am, eager to meet amazing new couples, and have the PRIVILEGE of capturing your story in a fun, relaxed and natural way…
